Carved Glass Studio specializes in many facets of glasswork. The artistic talents of Mel Bacon make numerous options for one-of-a-kind objects d'art. Using diverse methods of working his medium, Mel is able to produce a variety of specialty items in varying price ranges. From etching and carving on such things as coasters, mugs and wine glasses, he can provide unique personalized giftware.

Trophies, awards and "special" pieces, such as photos, can be created, incorporating your personal designs, logos and ideas. Decorative lamps and illuminated carved glass designs, mounted on clear edge-grain west coast red cedar, make delightful additions to any decor.

Using multi-stage abrasive carving, often in tandem with slumping and glue-chipped glass, Mel can achieve many variations of glass art.  As well as the glasswork, Mel builds his own fine cedar boxes, upon which he also carves the glass designs, giving depth and diversity to his glass carving.
